Editing, for me, starts long after the camera stops rolling. It's in the footage — in the pauses between lines, in a look held a beat too long, in the rhythm the story wants but hasn't found yet.
Over a decade cutting films, documentaries and commercials, I've learned that the best edits are invisible: the audience should feel the story, not the craft behind it. Every cut is a decision about pacing, emotion and truth.
