The edit leans into long, unhurried takes broken by sudden cuts to memory — building a rhythm that mirrors Mara's slow unravelling. Pacing was the central challenge: protecting the film's stillness without losing tension across a 108-minute runtime.

The first assembly ran 2h40. The final structure moved the storm sequence from act three to the midpoint, letting the back half breathe as a quieter emotional descent rather than a second climax.
